In 2012, Helping Others Pursue Excellence (H.O.P.E.) was founded as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to vocational training and entrepreneurship. The vision behind H.O.P.E. was inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit of Laneesha Senegal. As a low-income mother of five, Laneesha experienced the harsh realities of barely making ends meet—nights without power or heat and struggles to provide enough food for her family. These challenges ignited her desire to start a business.
Along her journey, Laneesha encountered many others facing similar struggles, all with a shared passion to build their own businesses. Yet, like her, they were confronted by numerous barriers. For some, it was the lack of understanding about the necessary paperwork to operate a business. For others, it was the difficulty of securing funding for marketing or technical assistance to access vital resources.
Despite the hardships—such as struggling to afford gas for their cars or facing the extreme reality of homelessness—these individuals shared the same dream: to create a business. As Laneesha grew her own business, the constant rejections and setbacks she faced fueled her determination to help others overcome the same obstacles.
This drive led to the creation of the Vision View Business Formation Center, designed to break down the barriers preventing aspiring entrepreneurs from realizing their dreams. Today, Vision View stands as one of the largest and most comprehensive entrepreneurship centers in the Central Valley. Its motto, “Where One’s Vision is Without Limits,” reflects its mission to help individuals transform their entrepreneurial visions into reality.
