About The Program
Empower Ability's Creative Arts Social Recreation Program is an inclusive, person-centered experience for individuals of all abilities to engage in creative expression, build vocational skills, and develop social connections.
Hosted on the vibrant 33,000 sq. ft. Vision View Campus in Fresno, this program is operated by HOPE - Helping Others Pursue Excellence, a nonprofit small business incubator and training center that blends entrepreneurship, inclusion, and personal growth.
🛍️Our Inclusive Spirit Store: A Showcase of Abilities
A key feature of the program is our Inclusive Spirit Store, where participants' creative works come to life as merchandise.
Whether it's spirit wear for day programs and Special Olympics teams, canvas art, or customized drinkware - everything made in the program can be showcased and sold in the store.
Individuals keep proceeds from their sales, reinforcing vocational learning and creating real-world earning opportunities.
We also welcome contributions from other person-centered programs across the Central Valley. Partner agencies can submit artwork and handcraft goods from their clients to be featured and sold in the store - creating a regional hub of creativity, empowerment, and economic inclusion.
Program Offerings
🎨Canvas Painting & Visual Arts
Express yourself through guided paintings, crafts, and mixed media using therapeutic and recreational art techniques.
👕Screen Printing & Product Design
Use digital tools and heat press to design wearable shirts, tote bags, hats and team spirit gear.
🎙️Podcasting & Storytelling
Build communication and digital media skills while hosting and producing inclusive, participant-led podcasts.
🎵Music Creation & Sound Lab
Experiment with beat-making, recording, and sound exploration in a supportive, sensory-friendly environment.

Monday - Friday: 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Sunday: Closed
Session Length and Rate
Session Length: 1.5 -2 Hours
Rate: $25/hr for all enrolled participants in the Creative Arts Social Rec Program
Program Ratio
Staff Ratio: 1 Staff per 5 participants (1:5)
Census Ratio: 70% adults with disabilities / 30% general public
Program rate is consistent for all enrolled partcipants to ensure equal access and program sustainability.
